

Is this normal for the big joe to have gaps like this, I read somewhere that the walls need to match the base to have a good fit, next the onlyfire does not sit all the way flat, it rides on top of the fire box, normal? And the last question for the day anyone try this fire box out, might get it and sell the whole fire box and components to help fund the Vessels. As always thank you..

Yes the gaps are normal, it’s for thermal expansion

Umm, wtf is the point of that fire box? What issue are you trying to fix?
My BJ looks like yours, 4yrs in & Zero problems with airflow or heat retention.
The Vessil’s Firebox looks interesting, but $250 worth of meat beats out any inclination I’d have of entertaining the idea of swapping it out.
