It is basically chickpeas mixed with a little garlic, some curry leaves, and chili flakes you fry in some coconut oil.

It is mixed with chopped onion, tomato, green thai chili, coriander (cilantro leaves), grated carrot and some chopped fresh coconut. It is all finished with salt and a squeeze of lime.

Very easy, and very fresh evening snack, and as spicy as you want it. For about one can of chickpeas (or the equivalent freshly boiled – they don't really sell them canned here), I used 3 fresh thai chili, and about 2 tsp of Sri Lankan chili flakes, which are quite hot.

I’ve started to recognise your posts and love them! Very nice to see something other than western hot sauce or buldak noodles. This looks so tasty and I’m familiar with it as my family is from Nepal. I know there are different styles too. Yours has coconut which I’ve never tried adding. Now I must recreate this so thank you for the idea.

As a kid, I’d pick out all the crunchy peas or nuts if it had any as they were my favourite
