    It’s not too bad for a first time, especially with kids! Just need to learn knife cuts for the fish and it’ll look loads better!

    I’m not going to say how the ingredients are cut doesn’t matter but that’s easier to pick up with experience than getting the rolls rolled right and you did a good job on them from the looks of things.

  3. Thank you for the supportive comments! The taste just wasn’t up to par, unfortunately. It was fun picking things out at the Japanese grocer and using the sushi kit my younger kid got two Christmases ago, but I’m not sure what to do to improve the flavor at home. It might be one of those things that just tastes better when someone else makes it.
