Maybe my expectations were too high, or I didn’t cook it right, but I wasn’t overly impressed. It’s cool experience but even at half the price I don’t think I’d be seeking it out regularly.

This is NOT $3 in Japan
AngelLK16
I’m glad I can’t try it. I think I’d want it all the time.

Isn’t that where the beef is farmed and harvested? I would imagine it be a lot cheaper to buy it there in general.
Splatty15
The paper plate? Probably. But I doubt the steak was.
Stunning-Ear-9219
Mmmmm, fantastic fare!
Rubber_Sandwich
A 3 dollar bill? Far out, man. Their currency looks so different! How do you even fit that in your wallet!?

OP, your username made me laugh out loud. I can’t hear it in my head without a very racist accent lol

Everybody arguing it’s not that cheap, meanwhile when I am working in Taiwan it’s easily cheaper to go to a yakinuku and get the A5 platter than it is to go to Longhorn Steakhouse down the street and get a 12oz USDA prime NY Strip.
In Japan, you can get A5 at the grocery store cheaper than you can get prime in the US.

That’s a pretty piece of fat lol
jorateyvr
No different than how a gram of cocaine in Columbia is much cheaper… for example
sleepdeprived44
the people that don’t believe you haven’t been to Japan. I got steak of this quality for about the same price at a yakiniku place in Tokyo, granted it was a bit smaller but that is to be expected when comparing restaurants to grocery stores
MKanes
Uhhhh, OP this is actually beef? Not $3?

I’ll send you $50. You grab me two that are $10 and ship it to me! 🤣
_barbarossa
Spreadable steak!
drnick1106
so what does low grade or regular beef cost -4$? it makes no sense
StreetUnlikely2018
Guess I’m moving to Japan then
Otherwise-Sun2486
So cheap because Japanese people got tried of it being all fat.
ProfessorSmoak420
It’s literally all fat
Opening_League8857
Would still rather have the American one. LOL

Looks like it came out of a can

The steak pictured appears to be mostly fat. How much is too much?

Uh where exactly? Japan is cheaper in general but this seems too cheap
Shut up and take my money!! Lol
That’s a mortgage payment in the US
I don’t believe you.
