Dents most likely. Paint…probably send you touch up paint.

I had a minor issue with a new in box that I got on clearance. Essentially they had two in store, one had a date of December 2024 and the other December 2023, so I asked for the newer to be held and delivered to my address. It took Home Depot way longer than it should have to ship it to my house to I went and picked it up, but they ended up selling the one with the December 2024 date which of course annoyed me as I wanted the one that would have probably been less exposed to elements (it was outside so rain, dust, sun etc…) and have a newer firmware out the box.
Anyway I called another Home Depot and they said they were willing to exchange with me, but they checked the dates and they were listing inventory built in 2023. So you can try calling another home Depot assuming you can pack everything back up and they should likely be able to exchange it for you.
