Just got out the gym and went to the store with my mom. I remembered the sardine post I made a day or two ago with spaghetti and the fish poop/guts and decided to grab my first can of sardines since I’m motivated to find something I like. I heard this was good from other posts. Will update with review soon💯😳

I have cases of these tins, good stuff.
Super delicious !
Starting with King Oscar? You are not doing yourself any favor if you don’t want this to be the start of something expensive.
Takeout food has become so expensive. Now tell me how much you paid for your healthy sardines.
It can be as expensive as you want. You can eat them daily and spend less than 20.00 depending on brand.
I just bought my first can of this too, coincidentally it is the same brand!
Thanks to this community I decided to buy a tin but have not opened it yet.
I just checked, walmart has that with olive oil and lemon online for $1.67.
This can is 2.50 at Walmart. Treat yo’self.
These are so good. I love them, try the lemon ones and the Mediterranean style. They’re fantastic. I’ll eat them straight out of the tin with nothing else. I prefer the mackerel to sardines, though, so I’m biased.
Wait until OP discovers the one with Jalapeños.
Those are delicious I had a few this week with my salad and they were amazing
Mackerel is great!
Should we tell him about World Market ?
I put two can into a bowl and slice up an avocado and mix it all together. Delicious high protein start to the day. I suggest eating with skin and bones. You can’t tell the difference really and it has more health benefits.
I just got one of the Oscar mackerels yesterday. Going to try it soon. I’m hoping it close to Cole’s smoked trout but idk
This is the can that really kicked off my tinned fish obsession. Good luck. My all time favorite is to mix it into a quinoa salad. Add some veggies; kale, red onion, radish, carrot… whatever you’d like. They’re also incredible in any kind of Mediterranean board. Unreal partnered with kalamata olives and feta.
For every day sardines, I go with Chicken of the Sea in olive oil. You can’t really go wrong – or break the bank – at $1.00 a can.
Mix’m in with a little chopped green onion for a spread on a Ritz with a slice of white cheddar and a sprinkle of hot sauce and you’d think they were a supreme brand.
On toast
I was a sardine fan ever since inwas 5 and my grandfather would sneak me “gross” food (according to my mom) when babysitting me. Some things were a little much (some people don’t have a thing for chicken hearts in their soup, but they were farmers from the old country, anyway I digress…) but other things opened a whole new world. Thanks to this fish stinking sub, I’ve not only regained my taste for them, but seeing how other people prepare them outside of just eating straight from the can has really kicked it into high gear. The only victim is my poor wife who has to smell my cat food breath once in a while.
Dude it costs as much as a coke out of a vending machine. Idk where this association of luxury with tinned fish comes from??
Solid product here! Cheers!
I’ve only had the private selection mackerel, but I just make a sandwich with toasted bread, lettuce, mayo, and hot sauce (usually secret aardvark). Hits the spot.
I love to stick some chilis, peppercorns, lemon, and capers in the tin. Then pop that in the oven for 15 minutes or so. It’s so good. And the oil makes a great salad dressing if you want it over greens.
fry these in their own oil and throw in a good quality pesto till golden brown then spread on a thick chewy toast. one of the best easy meals in the world.
I sauté a can of mackerel in the oil with garlic and cook some spaghetti, mix it together and add lemon. Delicious.
Worth every penny for your health
this is my second favorite tin right after the king oscar mediterranean style mackerel and I eat it straight out of the tin
Soooo good!!
Well, Hope just went out the window….lol…That’s your first Can of many, many, many more…the Mackerel…omg…It’s definitely the start of something…Good!!!
That tin is one of the best readily available, and affordable mackerel tins I’ve had! You’ll enjoy it for sure!
I have the jalapeno on subscribe and save 😅. Enjoy!
The Mediterranean style one is the best. All are good though. Good stuff.
King Oscars amazing for tinned fish. Available everywhere and not too expensive. Try the Mediterranean brisling next.
These are so good. Really liked the jalapeño version.
These are damn good. Enjoy 🤘
I eat those every day!!
The GOAT.
I get the mediterranean style, i can’t believe how good they are. I bring them for lunch almost every day now.
