Why did she talk so slow my lord
Nope and that’s what they get
No point lying to your boss they would have found out anyway through office gossip then you look untrustworthy because your caught out in a lie.
Be as polite and amenable as you need to be but these people are not your friends just coworkers.
No u told the truth that’s all that matters
NOPE
Sounds to me they are the office bullies. You lie to your boss once then you will get caught and never be trusted..never lie to cover someone else
NO THE FUCK YOU ARE NOT! THEY DUMB!
Something something about women in the workplace
Basically mean girls at work…
YTA
No, you did nothing wrong!
File a discrimination suit.
Not the bad guy
I worked for a company where I was never invited to any of the company parties, weddings, anniversaries, etc. I’ve never been a social climber, I was just there to do my job. 2 1/2 years nothing changed as far as me being invited any place, but I started noticing little things being disturbed on my desk, little notes about “you really shouldn’t do this”, but nothing ever really saying what it was I was doing wrong. But the biggest thing that made me upset and was the final straw in the camel’s back was that 15 reports were erased in the computer and then redone completely wrong. Of course this went to the executive director. I had no excuse for why these reports were wrong. That’s when he started accusing me of being antisocial, not doing my job like I was supposed to and just being completely ugly to everybody. I was so incredibly hurt. I explained to him I was just doing what I was getting paid for. He said, “you’re also getting paid to get along with everybody whether you like it or not; these reports just show me that. Maybe you just don’t belong here if you can’t change your attitude with your coworkers.” My mouth got ahead of my brain, and I looked at him with just pure hatred in my eyes, and said, “so I guess I should just fake it to make it to keep my job? I don’t play games, kiss up to anyone to keep my job, or brown nose my boss for a paycheck. I walked out of his office, typed up my resignation, walked out, and never looked back without any regrets.
No not at all babe
No you are not, You are a member of the office and you should have been invited to the shower
It was wrong not to invite you to the party. This has obviously happened before and thats why it was canclled.
Shame on the people who knew OP was purposely not invited and still went to the party. Sneaking a piece of cake was condescending and meant to make that person feel better about excluding OP.
No u did the right thing
Nope they were being shity for not inviting you so they got what they ask for
No you did the right thing 😊
You're not the bad guy. They are. There's no reason for isolating a co-worker for any activity on the workplace. Your boss did the right thing to ban all office parties for employees because they abused one of their colleagues' right because it is a private place. However, be prepared for those two villains tricks against you, they might use other colleagues in the tricks for covering themselves in the face of the boss because they know she will understand it is a revenge if they get involved directly
This is ridiculously unfair. You don't ban certain workers from the break room during a break (I am assuming), it's called that for a reason. And if OP had been perfectly honest, she would have said that they kicked her out of the break room. I guess all OP can do now is keep an elephant skin and hope that others will forget about the ban ever though it's not her fault, or look for another job since they think she's a snitch.
Grown ass women acting like high school brats. You did nothing wrong! I think your boss didn’t handle that very well.
It seems like it wasn't actually an office party. Office party mean OFFICE. ALL. She just wanted to throw a personal party woth the ppl she wamted, probs most coworkers were kn semi friendly terms so they all got invited but a new girl. But the fact that only SOME of the coworkers were invited means others didn't expet invitations either so it's just singling HER out. Plain old bullying for whatever reason and the boss nipped it in the bud. Play stupid games, win stupid prises. Not lying is not causing anything. Never cover for the one who wronged you.
No, you are not the bad guy here. They were.
Nope
You ruined it? Boss wouldnt have banned it jf they hadnt forced you to stay away. They tuined it lol
The narrator did nothing wrong. It is Marie and Joan’s fault for not inviting. If they invited the narrator, non of it would ever happen
No!
The boss is the bad guy here due to her not explaining that when coworkers are kept out of office parties, then we don't need them. PERIOD.
No you work with butt heads, selfish and cold hearted.
