I just bought a Pit Boss Kamado for $50aud on marketplace. Needs some tlc, new gasket and maybe new grill grates. Biggest concern is the crack in the lid. It opens ok but you can feel.it give a bit when you open it. Do I take it out and try and glue it? Or could that cause it to fall apart? Fun little project. I have come here because of all the advice I read from this group.

Hey mate
You’d get in touch with pitboss kamado here in Oz to check if this unit is still under warranty. Usually they’ll ask for the serial number. On Kamado Joe’s, the serial number is engraved inside the top of the dome. Perhaps it’s similar for pitboss.
Anyways, if it’s broken, dont try to fix it with glue or whatever else.
I will look into it
