Sweet onion “pickled” in soy sauce, rice vinegar, sugar and water. Honestly could eat ten onions in one sitting like this!!!

I bet if you put that in a blender you could just drink it.

This is how I eat cucumbers, but replace the sugar with pepper.

Throw some soft boiled eggs in there while you’re at it

I find it interesting you have a punch bowl but not mixing bowls of similar size, they usually come in a set and you end up with 3 or 5 of them when you finally need one for the first time when living on your own in your 20s. Maybe you like thrift stores and have tons of punch bowls who knows? I mean I have a friend with probably 22+ cast iron pans because he loves his thrift store finds, different strokes for different folks.

From the picture, I thought they were soaking in coca cola.

Sounds like you need to discover onion pickling and mason jars.

Just add sesame oil and garlic, and you got yourself a great BBQ chicken marinade.

LMFAO I saw the tea behind the bowl and was pretty worried

  9. recipe recommendation, cut the onions a little (a lot) thinner, pour in soy sauce and bonito flakes and let is marinate for a few hours before eating. it’s my family’s bastardized version of japanese onion salad 😅

How long do you think this would keep in the fridge?

Slice a couple of jalapeños and throw in some boiled eggs. Eat with spicy ramen. Thank me later.

This is essentially the sauce I make for dumplings, gyoza, and scallion or chive pancakes.

I’d also recommend marinating onions in black vinegar and Thai chilis. Soooooo yummy, especially on a scallion pancake with some eggs

I thought this was balsamic vinegar xD was wondering where the cucumbers were.

So what you’ve made is essentially the base for Filipino adobo!! It is also a FANTASTIC marinade, just add some garlic and pepper. Sometimes I will just stew onions and garlic in this mixture and eat it over rice. DELICIOUS!
