    Everytime I get a steak from Texas Roadhouse it’s a hit or a miss. This one looks more well than rare.

  6. Is anyone familiar with both Texas roadhouse and jimmy Mac’s roadhouse? Are they basically the same thing? Never seen a Texas Roadhouse up in the NW but we have jimmy mac’s

  7. I think they have batches of steaks sous vide at different temps, ready to be quick seared to order. They probably pulled a well done one for him by accident.

    Pretty sure Texas Roadhouse is the only place I’ve sent a steak back in my adult life. They were nice about it though, got my new one quickly and it was perfect, I think they gave a little discount on my bill too.

    If you pay for it and it’s nowhere close to what you ordered then send it back. Just don’t be that guy that’s nit picky about it if it’s close, they make a lot of steak not everything will be perfect.

    Send it back they’ll get you a new one. The cook grabbed a steak that’s meant for medium and up – or the window guy plated the wrong temp. Either way you’ll get it for free.

    I’m EXTREMELY lenient about shit like this but I am 100% sending it back. That’s well done and the sear is shit too.

  12. I’m not a sender backer. If it close I chalk it up to maybe got distracted and the place is full with a 2 hour waiting list (depending on the place). I would send that back though. Not knocking anybody who sends stuff back just how I roll.

    All the TRHs I’ve been to have a noticeable emphasis on a positive customer experience. If your server isn’t communicating that, find the manager, if the manager isn’t, write to corporate. In my experience they would immediately take that steak back, fire you another one, make sure you’re happy with its temp when it comes out and then later a manager would come over and apologize for the first one. Not trying to shill for them, I’ve just always noticed and been pleasantly surprised at how hard they try to quickly address things like this.

    Sometimes they miss, news at 11. Just send it back, this is like a 5 minute fix probably.
