    1970 is quite a famous vintage for Bordeaux. A lot of these will be fun to try because of their age. Many won’t be great – no one ages Ravenswood – but interesting.

    Much will depend in how they were stored, especially temperature. Be sure to open carefully, decant gently.

    The Penfolds and Rosemount are cheap off the shelf bottles. South Eastern Australia is a mass producing grape region with very little characteristic. Think yellowtail…. Will be super interesting to hear what they taste like with the age though
