Swung by Los Vietnamita Taquería on the weekend after hearing about it here. It is a Vietnamese-Mexican mashup (clearly) and has bahn mì tacos, loaded fries, and other things. I was very excited to check this out and was very hungry when I ordered.
I got the crispy fish taco (first photo) and their signature Saigon fried chicken taco (second photo). They were both in these amazing roti-like wraps and I thought the portions were generous and structured well. I liked the fish better than the chicken, mostly because it was a little lighter and not as obscured by so many flavours.
The fusion aspect mostly seemed to be on the form of sauces, but I know there were some items on the menu that sounded a bit more interesting than what I ordered.
If you are into this type of food, you’d probably also like Tokyo Hot Fried Chicken.
