Everything was better than usual on that last day. Hash browns were extra crispy (sorry for the ketchup haha). Ham had an even sear. The pancakes were particularly fluffy and sweet. Maybe it's just wistful nostalgia that made everything taste better, but it was an absolutely perfect sendoff to LA's oldest diner.
