Air France has once again upped its gourmet game: Starting in July 2025, world-famous Michelin-starred chef Daniel Boulud will craft exclusive menus for the national carrier. Originally from Lyon but based in New York, Boulud’s meals will be available in La Première and Business cabins on flights from the United States.
First steps
The first rout to benefit will be New York JFK to Paris CDG – the most vital connection in Air France’s network. Los Angeles, Miami, San Francisco and Washington D.C. are set to follow over the summer, and by the end of the year, all passengers departing from the US should be able to enjoy Boulud’s creations.
This is the second time that Air France has collaborated with the award-winning chef, who is best known for putting a modern twist on French-inspired cuisine. His menus – including meat and poultry dishes – will be made in cooperation with the airline catering company Servair and follow his philosophy of seasonal, regional ingredients.
Culinary flights of fancy
In addition to Boulud, the airline relies on an international network of renowned chefs to cater their flights, including Dominique Crenn (USA), Julien Royer (Singapore), Olivier Perret (Canada), Olivier Chaignon (Japan), Jofrane Dailly (Réunion) and Jean-Charles Brédas (Caribbean). In the spirit of sustainability, Air France also offers Business Class passengers the option of pre-ordering their hot meal up to 24 hours before departure.
