I always eat a couple of beans until I get my desired softness. Got to try that bean paste. I usually have a sugar and flour mixture with the bean juice for a thickening agent
Need little more liquid
I used this recipe with a mixture of pinto, navy and great northern beans and my family loved them. That honey butter cornbread melted in my mouth. 😋😋😋
You didn’t tell us what seasonings to put on the side AB
Yesssssssss! You better get cho life! I love beans, and when I saw this simple recipe it brought back memories of my Uncle Frank, the KING OF COOKING ALL BEANS. Withholding homemade Buttermilk biscuits drizzled with King Syrup from the south. My goodness! Thank you, sir😊 for your recipe. I'll be doing this this weekend
Those beans will stick to your ribs.😋
I did what you said about that Turkey stock and them layers of flavor came out&showed out fam. Thank you for teaching as well as showing us that your still learning. Big mama would be so proud. So would my mom💜💜I used her old pot. The smell sent me back in time😢 I know you'll never read this but keep it going fam💪🏿💪🏿
do you ever cook the beans before adding the meat?
To Dry
❤❤❤❤
So good!
Yeah. Brother.
😁 DELICIOUS
Mississippi boy here, been cooking for 40 years, and this dude knows his stuff! I learned from my Dad who learned from his mom. Beans and peas are absolute staples, and we take great pride in how we cook and serve them. If your grocery store doesn't have smoked turkey (and often they wont), try to get some real pork belly. Hamhocks are great, too, but pork belly is magic with beans and peas. Slice it thin, fry it up, and you'll have the best bacon money can buy. Brown the pork with a chopped onion and maybe some smoked sausage, add your stock and beans, cook for a couple hours, and WOW!! Not better than my man here is cookin', just a slightly different take.
The itis is worth it
There isn't much that beats a good bowl of beans and cornbread 😋
Man U hit that spatula in the trash can dude
Ohhh yeah Bruhhh I know all about the “Iris”😅😅
