USDA Choice rib roast for $5.99 / lbs from Amazon Fresh in my area (NYC metro area so relatively expensive). USDA choice ribeye is usually around $25 / lbs here.

A choice export right now is like $11.70 fob. Probably closer to *at least* $13/lb for a consumer.
Granted ribs are seeing an uncharacteristically high run up into Easter and should be coming off nicely here late May/Early June it still won’t come off anywhere near the levels that make this anything but an amazing deal

I bought 1 yesterday at 10.95/pound, and that was a great deal where I am. You got an unbelievable deal!
Ya good for NYC, but in the burbs you can find rib roasts around the holidays (including Easter) for this price, often cheaper. My local Shop & Stop has them for $5.77/lb right now, but have been closer to $4/lb.
