I made these robin’s egg macarons a few years ago in blue with the brown speckles, but this year I wanted to make them in a bunch of different colors to look like a real Easter basket, and I love how they turned out!!
To make them look like real eggs, I filled the macarons with a ring of meringue and then put a dollop of homemade lemon curd in the very center! I think the best part was seeing everyone’s reactions when they took a bite and saw the inside.

These look amazing! I’d ask if you could do Passover ones, but I don’t think a macaron that looks like you’re biting into lamb’s blood would be quite as big a hit. 😔

Also until I saw the second picture, idk why but I just imagined biting into a raw egg, shell and all when you said the inside is like you’re biting into an egg. Do people eat eggs like that? No. Did I still think it was going to be crunchy? Yes 🙃
