Not sure if this is allowed here, but one of my favorite wine related movies, besides 2004’s, “Sideways”.

Love this movie but hate Sideways. I live in the Santa Ynez Valley and sideways is very polarizing here, though it has an amazing soundtrack.

Chris Pine’s wig is the villain in this movie

Worth it just to watch Allan Rickman eat a corn chip. Fantastic. This is very dramatized version but it is based on a real event that put California on the map for serious wine.

We have a whole group of wine movies that we revisit. Bottle Shock is a favorite. Sideways, A Good Year, From The Vine, Under The Tuscan Sun. Yeah, I’m sappy like that. 🤷♀️

I dislike how much they deviated from what really happened. The story was plenty exciting enough, it didn’t need this heavy-handed editing. No wonder neither Spurrier nor Grgić cared much for the film.

Sideways totally upended the wine industry, leading to countless acres of Merlot vines being pulled up and replaced with Pinot Noir even in climates ill-suited for it. Hilariously stupid how impressionable many consumers are.

Sideways is one of your favorite wine movies?
This seems like an AI Post to be honest.

I’m going to watch it if I can find it streaming somewhere lol.

It’s a good movie even if it’s only tru(ish) to what went down with the Judgement of Paris.

If I would be asked about the definition of a snobby wine movie with terrible people i would pick sideways. there are a lot small soft comedy romantic movie like Back to Burgundy or La dégustation, my favorite movie, but with very little wine influence is french kiss

That picture of the people around the truck looks so badly photoshopped. Did they just put heads on different bodies?
