I went to make breakfast this morning and I noticed floaters in my cream of wheat, the expiration date is not until the end of October 2026, is it mold? I have had a bad stomach ache here and there lately and I am wondering if it is because I ingest so much maple syrup.

I have no clue but maybe someone here that knows this stuff might need more information.
How do you store it? Open container? In the fridge? Etc

If you haven’t stored it in the fridge, it’s probably mold. I ran into the same issue a few months ago.

Do you refrigerate your syrup? If not, you should. It looks like mold, sorry to say

After opening it has to be kept in the fridge or it goes bad, was it in the fridge?

Was the syrup refrigerated? Real maple syrup needs to be stored in the fridge to prevent fermentation and mold. It contains too much water to prevent microorganisms from proliferating.

Did you or anyone in your home kill a spider and shave your pubes over it?

Definitely mold that has been disturbed by pouring it out, looks stringy bc of the viscosity of the syrup. Refrigerate it, for goodness sake.

you should be able to boil the maple syrup, it’ll be good to eat again

No, I don’t store it in the fridge. I grew up with the fake stuff and we never refrigerated it because it is not good when it is cold. I now see the label that says refrigeration required.🫣
