Hey folks! I bought my wife this 6 quart MyTime crock-pot for her birthday last August. I just opened it and washed it to get it ready to use, and noticed the lid doesn’t sit flat and flush – it’s “tippy” for lack of a better word. Is this normal and/or if not, is it a problem? There doesn’t seem to be too much of a gap. I’m a bit surprised it doesn’t sit nice and flat for a brand new unit.

Does the lid sit flush on the counter?

In the end I don’t think it will make THAT much difference as the pot should be managing its own temp. If a little extra heat is escaping, the pot should manage it.

I have two. One with a steam vent and one without. The one without has no steam vent hole. The off kilter lid will trap the heat, while letting steam vent.

I don’t see a vent hole. That means you don’t want it to sit completely flush, so that it can vent. Other people post with the travel clamps engaged to cook and it shatters the lid. Similar principal I believe

Is there no breather hole on the lid? Maybe a crappy design flaw? 🤷🏻‍♂️
