First time ever smoking meat and I don’t think it came out looking to bad. It tasted absolutely amazing. Pork shoulder

i mean for sliced pork shoulder roast, looks good. longer cook times to achieve higher internal temps will render the fat and break down the meat fibers a littler more for a more typical “bbq” style. for pulled pork, you want to cook until your internal temperature is around 200-210. lots of room for error with pork butt. it’s pretty much the best thing to smoke for beginners because it’s hard to mess up and doesn’t cost a lot of money in case you do screw up.

Nice work! Welcome to the world of smoking. Pretty much any meat you smoke will taste better than conventional methods imo: chicken, ribs, tri-tip, burgers, brisket… the sky is the limit. Have fun on your journey.
