Have seen these pies every time I walk into a local market/convenience store and wondering if anyone has tried them?

They’re just ok. I think the HEB Midtown Pizzas are far superior IMO.

EDIT: The big problem with the Bola’s is they are super, super sparse on toppings and sauce.

155 of reviews on google… seems to be a mix of 1 and 5 stars. I had one from HEB, don’t eat much frozen pizza but I thought it was about 2 stars…

My fam loves them. It’s worth a try to see if it’s your deal.

I like the lamb and Bollywood pizzas because they are unique, and you’re not really getting those flavors anywhere else. Unfortunately they don’t stock either of those at the HEB by us, it’s all boring standard frozen pizza flavors. We usually get them at the bodega by us. Never had the regular pizza flavors, I’d recommend giving the lamb and Bollywood a try if they sound interesting to you.

I really enjoyed the Polka Dot pie, but like another poster has said, Midtown Pizzas are just as good if not better, and if I recall, cheaper.

  6. They’re pretty tasty. However, it’s difficult for me to justify when I can get (3 or 4) HEB frozen pizzas for the same price.

We really like them. They get pretty crispy and aren’t overly saucy. The toppings are delicious.

Really just depends on your pizza type preference!

  8. Dogtown frozen pizzas from Central Market are my go-to. Still reasonably priced and full of toppings. They also crisp up really nice when done in convection at 400 for ~15 minutes. The Deluxe is my favorite.

The perfect frozen pizza IMHO, the crust is crispy and delicious ( they ferment the dough 3 days). The toppings are excellent.
A big bonus for me is I’m supporting a local woman owned business that employs local folks and pays them well.

I really like them, especially the mushroom one. They are lighter, but I like that. We always make a big salad or a cucumber salad side to go with it.

    They were just okay.

This is niche but Central Market has dog town frozen St Louis Style pizzas. It isn’t for everyone but that’s the only frozen pizza my wife and I will make. Worth checking out if you haven’t!

They’re great just not very filling

The Godmother is really good, and worth it. Others are, too, but they are pricey. You can get them at HEB.

Hands down the best frozen pizza I have tried. The secret is their 3 day cold fermentation. I judge pizza by how good the crust is so YMMV.

    (Edit)

This stupid phone and it’s text prediction!

    😂

I thought this was a health code rating trick at first

They are expensive but often the highest quality option at random convenience stores around town (I ate a lot of them when I lived across from a 7-11). The Polka Dot is great.

  17. The La Texana is my jam. My favorite frozen pizza!

  18. lstewart112

Love them! Worth the splurge, still way cheaper than take out/delivery

I miss La Texana every day. One of my go to “save for a rainy day” frozen pies when I lived there

I tried them and was decidedly unimpressed.

The truffle daisy is sooo good. My shitty apartment oven always burns them though

  22. SoftwareOne1904

They’re the only frozen pizza I’ll eat!

When I got married 12 years ago, we hired Bola to cater with their mobile wood fire pizza oven. It was a huge hit, and they were really nice people so I love to see them still baking and like to support them. Polkadot and Godmother are my favorites.

Their truffle daisy is one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had (frozen or non frozen)
