After years of losses, I have defeated the deer. Everything is fenced in with 6 ft chicken wire that they have never jumped. Now the squirrels are my number one foe.

Deer are so dumb. I successfully kept them out of my garden with plastic deer fencing attached to 7′ t-posts with zip ties, and we’re talking hungry, thirsty, drought summer Texas deer with succulent snacks inside. Deer are really skittish and scared of getting tangled up or not being able to get back out. It’s one thing to take a running jump in and another to take a running jump back out with lots of cages and trellises in the way.
I kept the rabbits out with expensive hardware cloth around the bottom. 😩

Will that single piece of wood be able to support the fully watered planters?
