Could be variations in the plant’s preference to the soil or light. Could be seed strength, not as fast a growing variety.

    A couple thoughts:

If you’re bottom watering, the trays may not be as level as you think. Most of the water is not evenly distributed and pooling up at the end of the tray.

That soil looks dense and compact, maybe it’s possible that the roots have mold or fungus on them since the moisture can’t dry out fast enough. Set up a small fan on them to try and dry out the soil a little bit .

I would get some better potting soil and re-pot them to give them a chance.

  3. Tomatoes be like that.
Some of those in the back especially do look waterlogged. Is that the germinating soil mix you used? Looks heavy and holding too much moisture. It’s easy to overwater. Ideally lighten the soil up with something to help it to dry out quicker if you’re going to up pot. Otherwise you might want to re-sow a batch in seed starting mix, then a lighter soil on the next up pot.

Because you don’t water “on a schedule”. You water “as needed”
