I love the electric fire starter. It takes all the hard work out of starting fires. And even without firelighters or quick fire starting things. I can have a lump fire started in under 3 minutes.

If this is your order I’d maybe hold off on getting the eggspander and all the additional surfaces up front. Figure out what you need as you go and add accordingly.

If you’re planning on doing pizzas in the egg get a pizza stone and peel.

Money no object though let her rip.

I forget the name of it, but the little doohickey for lifting the grate in & out is very useful.

You need a thermometer before you buy ANYTHING else.

Get a cheap paint stripper to use as a fire starter…
I love my amazon onlyfire rotisserie and pizza stone thing and my carbon steel wok that I use on the eggspander. I am recently using a cast iron plancha type thing..also off amazon.

Basically, anything generic bge makes is overpriced. The charcoal is overpriced. The tool set is very overpriced. The ash pan is unnecessary and overpriced. Also, the table is low quality. Find a third party one.

Generally, most of your list is overkill. Start with the egg and conveggtor and whatever stand is cheapest, and figure out what gadgets you need after using it.

You don’t need an electric firestarter like someone else mentioned. It’s $100 when a $15 Fogo blazeball lights just as well with literally 10% the effort.

  7. Don’t waste your money on BGE branded half moon ceramics. Get a 2-piece pizza stone off amazon for $15 and it works perfectly with the EGGspander

Large BGE owner 10 years in May. The only accessory I have is the plate setter. Oh, and a rib rack. And the Thermworks. I like to keep it simple.

I wouldn’t buy the ash pan. Instead, I’d recommend getting an ash vacuum. I have the ash pan myself, but I haven’t used it since I bought the ash vacuum. The Big Green Egg is easy to take apart and clean with the ash vacuum. The one I bought cost €40.

I’d forget the firefighters and get a cheap heat gun

Personal favorites are pizza stone/piel, eggspander rack (I use it more upside down close to the coals for foil wrapped stuff than as a raised rack), rotisserie is AMAZING. Kick ash bucket is way better than the BGE brand coal bucket.

A good, re-usable drip pan would be nice. The BGE grate lifter I really like, and the top vent “roof” if you have the newer top vent.

Any half moon or ceramic stuff I’d get from CGS (ceramic grill store online).

My next hopeful purchase is a cast iron grate. I have stainless on my XL’s and L, but cast iron on my minimax and I love it

Big fan of Ceramic Grill Store for accessories – have their drip pans, their wok, their Adjustable Rig is the original – BGE’s Eggspander is a more expensive knock off of it. You get Made in the USA with CGS and real people that answer the phone if you happen to call. They are THE accessories, imo.

Kick ash basket. Grate handle tool (picks up grate with a rotating metal claw.) egg fan for temp control. Save the money and don’t worry about all the cast iron and half stones early on if you can’t afford those tools as well.

  14. Bottle opener and grill light for late night cooks.

Jesus, you should put that much into a outdoor kitchen
