I had these custom-made for an event (yes, they are what they look like! I’m a pelvic floor therapist 😂) and she did an amazing job and I paid a decent sum, but I had to cancel the event. I’ve kept them in a sealed container thinking I could use them to so some outreach/marketing but haven’t had a chance to get my marketing materials ready! I don’t want to waste them and would love to use them as cookie marketing (double entendres intended) but want to give myself time to create the collateral.

I’ve read lots of different opinions as to whether freezing will ruin them, but hoping the experts here can help me based on specifics:

  • Made a week ago
  • They are not heat sealed but are in individual cellophane bags tied with a ribbon
  • The vulva is raised royal icing, the flowers in the background look almost spray painted on? (I don’t know technique)
  • Rich colors, white base on cookie
  • I live in a high desert dry climate so would that affect thawing either positively or negatively?

I saw one suggestion that even kept in just those little bags, in a tightly sealed container in the freezer and then taken out when ready but container kept closed until completely thawed would work, but she also had brushed her cookies with cornstarch to avoid sticking to the bag. That was not done here and I don’t want to open them all for the sake of being sanitary.

I’m hoping to avoid sticking and colors bleeding upon thawing!

Thank you for your help!
