Is $200 a good deal for this? And what work would I need to put into it to get it into cooking shape?

You can get a brand new Oklahoma Joe for like 300-350, so I’d say no, don’t pay $200 for a rust bucket

I am in the 707 area code and will give anyone my old Silver Smoker. Free. Heck I’ll make coffee or crack beers to be rid of it

I personally would not pay $200 for that. I don’t think it is worth that much. I might give $50 if I wanted a charcoal smoker of that size.

He is not a friend if he is asking $200 for that.

200 is pushing it, the steel is thin, the welds are subpar and the stack isnt in a good location, I’d want to test it and if it did decent I’d be willing to give 200 while I saved up the couple thousand for a proper offset

Definitely not, a weber kettle can be bought for cheaper and wont need to be cleaned out first. This looks like homemade garbage that id only take for free.

No. Not a good deal at all. Put that money towards a new unit.

  8. $200 is too much for this. You have a good amount or cleaning up to do and for a touch more money you could have something new.

I got a brand new chargriller for $125 at Home Depot. They have sales periodically

  13. Assuming you mean your friend is paying you 200 dollars to haul it off for the it’s a pretty decent deal.
