Grew these habaneros from seeds last year, didn’t get any fruits — planted them way too late & windows face NW. Somehow, they survived the winter (I didn’t know about best practices for overwintering) and now one of them is finally growing the first pepper — see second photo.

I do have a never-ending fight with some thrips (I think that’s why the corners of some leaves look unwell too?) and will be sizing up the pots this weekend. Hoping for a first harvest this year! 🌶️

Growing peppers is a totally fun hobby. Started growing last year and made for a rewarding summer.

Welcome to Pestville, population 3 zillion and growing. Your fight with thrips mirrors mine with aphids. Last year I had no aphids, but this year it’s been an unrelenting assault by those pests. Just when I thought I killed the last of them, I find more.

Is that all the light they get?

Just started seedlings on my windowsill and wondering if it’s enough.
