Hi everyone- I over wintered these peppers last November. I cut them down to just a stalk, rinsed the roots and repotted in new soil. I thought they were supposed to go dormant, but they sort of took off. My question is now that I’m hardening them off to go back outside, should I trim them back? They have some pretty long parts, wondering if you would cut them back or just let them go?

I have larger pots that I’m going to put them in once they’re ready to be outside full time.

What do you think?

Thanks!

  1. I wouldn’t prune those. They’re very vigorous with a uniform green and the growths aren’t too long and spindly. I’d say this is a good sign and means you’ll prob get a headstart this year. But if you don’t plan on transplanting them, those pots look like they will get tight real quick and then yes, you’ll need to prune it back.
