Food pic to post (Squeaky Bean brand steak strips salad topped with wagamanas vegan firecracker mayo 429.9kcal)

So I'm fairly new to calorie counting (started roughly at the end of Feb this year) & I've recently discovered this thread. I'm not really seeing results from what I have cut down to & I'm very interested in dropping down to 1200 but was wondering what the majority would recommend in terms of how to cut down.

Would you recommend gradually increasing the calorie deficit or did you make the change straight to 1200?

I cold turk’yed to 1200. The way I figured, even if I go slightly over or have to eat something even if I’m already at 1200, I’m still in a deficit. I don’t recommend going straight to 1200 if you can’t be logical about hunger, and have binge tendencies though. Some people will accidentally go over 1200 and then think that they might as well keep going (me in the past lmao). If you’re logical you’ll succeed though.

It’s been two months. What results have you seen? I would recommend gradual but losing weight takes patience. Losing around 2lbs per month is sustainable weight loss. Sometimes it could be more or less due to muscle or water weight too. Just have to stay consistent for a longer period of time.
