Palate: Plum, Baking Spices, Pepper, Oak, Cherry, Chocolate, Brown Sugar. Dry with moderate tannins and long finish. Balanced acidity. Really beautiful wine.
I’m exploring Napa Cab after drinking Paso Zin for years. This cab has a great full mouthfeel that reminds me of those Paso beauties. The flavors of the wine linger on the tongue and walls of the mouth for a long time after each drink. While Ghost Block has been my favorite so far, I enjoyed this and will likely buy again. I heard this is a “second” of another producer in Napa—pretty sure I’m now on the hunt for a bottle of the “first”!

Montresor Soave Classico 2023. Didn’t really care for it much. First garganega ever.

Obsidian The Cinders Syrah 2021. Delicious, firmly at the kalamata olive end of the Syrah spectrum.
