    Servings: 3

▢ 1 packet extra firm tofu

▢ 1/2 cup plant based milk

    ▢ 1/3 cup cornstarch

▢ 1/3 cup gluten free flour

    ▢ 1 tsp salt

    ▢ 1 tsp garlic powder

    ▢ 1 tsp onion powder

    Instructions:

    1. Freeze tofu overnight. Remove and let thaw. Then press to remove all excess water, about 15-20 mins. Break tofu into nugget pieces.

    2. Preheat air fryer to 400F.

    3. In a bowl, add remaining ingredients and whisk to combine. Working one at a time, dip tofu pieces into dredge then set onto plate. Let sit 10 minutes.

    4. Transfer tofu to air fryer basket (lined with parchment).

    5. Cook for 20-25 minutes or until crispy and golden. While tofu is in the air fryer, make orange sauce.

▢ 1 cup orange juice, freshly squeezed

    ▢ Zest from one orange

▢ 1/2 cup dark brown or black sugar

    ▢ 1/4 tsp minced ginger

    ▢ 1/4 tsp minced garlic

    ▢ 2 Tbsp rice vinegar

    ▢ 1/2 Tbsp sesame oil

▢ 2 Tbsp tamari (gf soy sauce)

▢ 3 Tbsp sweet chili sauce

    ▢ 1 1/2 Tbsp cornstarch + 1 Tbsp water, mixed

    1. Add everything except cornstarch mixture to a sauce pan over a medium-high heat. Whisk to combine.

    2. Once hot, add cornstarch mixture and cook until thickened, whisking occasionally, about 3-4 minutes.

    3. Add cooked tofu and coat evenly with sauce.

    4. Serve with rice and garnish of sesame seeds and spring onion.
