Eat, but first post some pics of what the finished product looks like!

If it passes the look, smell, and taste tests then I’d send it.

As long as the can isn’t damaged or anything it’s fine to eat

People eat canned stuff wayy older, as long as the can’s not compromised at the seals or bulging it’s probably good

“Consumir preferentemente”, that’s a suggestion, just like “best by”. It doesn’t mean that it’s spoiled, that’s just the arbitrary date by which the company is willing to guarantee peak quality.

People are so funny about this. Our parents and their parents ate canned and jarred stuff that was probably as old as we were as children and they were all fine – way before they put dates in stuff

  7. As long as the can is not bulging. Open it slightly to check for vacuum (“Nice hiss.”)

Canned goods last for years or even decades in proper storage.

    No.

It’s seafood that’s a year out of date. It doesn’t matter if it’s canned or not. Why risk getting food poisoning over a couple dollar tin of seafood?
