Ingredients
1/2 tsp vegetable oil
1/6 tsp asafetida
3/4 cup black chana (soaked)
Salt to taste
1/6 tsp coriander powder
1/6 tsp cumin powder
2 to 3 pinch of garam masala
1/4 tsp grated ginger
1/4 tsp mango powder
Chopped cucumber
Chopped green chilli
Chopped tomatoes
Chopped onion
1/2 tsp chaat masala
1/4 tsp black salt
Instructions:
1. Soak black chana over night.
2. Heat a Pressure cooker on medium heat.
3. Add vegetable oil and asafetida, and saute for 30 seconds.
4. Add soaked black chana, add salt to taste, coriander powder, cumin powder, 2 to 3 pinch of garam masala.
5. Mix well on high flame, then add 1/2 tsp crushed ginger.
6. Saute until water dries up.
7. Add 1/2 cup of water and add mango powder.
8. Bring to a boil over high heat,
9. One whistle on high flame and 2 to 3 whistles on low-med flame.
10. Open the cooker and check the chana, if not cooked the cook again.
11. Serve the chana with chopped onion, tomatoes, green chili and cucumber.
