I have moved 5 reapers from my tent to outside to let my 4 strongest plants breathe a little more and get some better coverage from the grow light… Its not really the right time in Aus to put them out but we don't get frost here so they should be fine, the weather has still been quite warm and we haven't had a tonne of rain yet either. I can always move them to the garage when needed. Would I be better off putting them into 7-13 Gallon pots like my tomatoes? or leave them be in the 5 gallon grow bags?

5 gallon will give you a pretty large plant still. Up to how big you want to go. A 10 gallon will give you 300 peppers Iβd bet under optimal conditions
5 gal is already plenty for a pretty large plant and large harvests under optimal conditions. You could do one in a 13 gal pot to compare and see whatβs more worth it for you based on soil cost. If you do decide on larger pots I would wait a bit longer for the plants to fill out the 5 gal a little more to reduce watering
You can buy 15 gallon tan grow bags on Amazon for cheap. Smallish bag + black bag + 100 degree days on end mean tons of root stress even if you water daily.
