This is funny that you are doing corned beef hash, because tonight at a restaurant, I ordered their special of "cabbage and corned beef". When my plate arrived, it sported about a 1/4 head of cabbage that was wilted but still mostly crunchy, separately 5 small strips of tough corned beef, again separately 5 baby carrots and the same for the almost whole red potatoes. I had to ask for a sharp knife to cut the cabbage, beef, and carrots. Only the potatoes were fork tender. My mind was thinking corned beef hash, but not today. I ate what was edible and left the rest. Typically, this restaurant serves good food. And yes, I gave my respectful comment to the waitress. The special tonight is now on my do-not-order list.
