The naan stuck to the lid is killing me.

I would get all sorts of weird flavors on that naan…

That’s a no for me. They’re not supposed to be baked on creosote.

  4. I have had this thought before but as someone else pointed out, maybe it’s not the best to cook them on the dome due to all the crap that has been accumulated..

If OP could share the final results I will appreciate it

Yet another great use for the Egg as a tandoor oven!

I use it for grilling marinated chicken tikka chunks.

Love this! I’ve done it where I hang it down through the top hole 🙂 it was hard but tasted great !

  7. If you’re going to do this I’d do a big cleaning burn or two so your lid is white again. Otherwise it’ll just be creosote.

Better yet just use a pizza stone

That’s such a great idea! I’d have to do a big cleaning run on my lid to knock down the crap that’s built up over the last 20 years.

How’d that naan turnout? I had an idea to do this right after I got me egg. Then after a few smoke sessions I decided if I ever wanted to try it I would need a clean burn first. Did you brush down the inside of the lid first? Excited to see I’m not the first person with this idea and that you actually tried it.
