My train hopping buddy stopped by and forgot his dines here. He said I can keep them. Did I luck out?

Polar brislings are excellent if you like the style (smoked brislings).
dr_xenon
They’re good. Standard issue stuff. Walmart carries them.
Even_Lavishness2644
Yup! They have good smoke flavor, are decently firm, and go well with cream cheese and a bagel!
JasonIsFishing
$2.30 per tin, and yes they are yummy
JellyRollMort
Nothing fancy, but very solid. I like these with crackers and a bit of hotsauce

Love these. Especially the packaging. The taste of these has been good!
Frosthoof
I love them so much. I first found them at a sort of discount grocer and I got them for $.75! I think I bought 16 of them and am down to two after a couple years. they’re amazing!
WhistlingBread
Good sardines, but they have a prominent tail attached that I generally remove and don’t eat. I’d give these a 7 out of 10
3rd-Grade-Spelling
One of the few brands that keep the tail on.

No, they are terrible. Send them to me for safe disposal!
AlbatrossThat5870
My favorite so far! I don’t even take the tails off.

Very tasty and affordable, but try to keep the oil off fabrics. It will make anything it touches smell like it for quite a while.

I got some train hopping friends. They’re crazy awesome people.
Mindless_Win4468
I think they are too smokey but that’s just me. These were the first sardines I ever had and I thought I would hate sardines after that. I think there are better brands/flavors out there. And idk why they keep the tails
dzmouse
You can also get them at Costco for $11.99 for 3 jars of 9.5oz each.

These sardines are really good and don’t have a strong fish flavor but have a strong smoky flavor. This would be the general recommendation I would give to someone if they had not tasted sardines before.

Polar sardines truly are extraordinary. They are imported from the Northern European Country of Latvia. There, they are wild caught in the Baltic Sea and hand-picked through the quality selection process. Each sardine is checked for any imperfections. If any are found, they are thrown out and never included into the quality batch. Once a group of brisling sardines passes the quality check, they are then naturally wood-smoked until perfectly golden. Then the sardines are individually hand-packed, naturally seasoned, and delicately stored in premium refined olive oil. These sardines have the perfect combination of smokiness and freshness in a single bite.

I enjoy them on a good toasted bread (or crackers in a pinch) with a smear of avocado, a squeeze of lemon or lime, and a grind of salt and pepper.
Water_Boy_3
Oh I hate that can. I’m not a fan of the Smokey flavor.
