The same people who hosted the German Christmas Village are returning with the Wine Village at Baltimore’s Inner Harbor. “We built it on the example of German wine villages that we have, especially in the wine growing areas,” said Thomas Bauer, one of the organizers of Wine Village in Baltimore.The newest pop-up in downtown Baltimore offers a chance to drink wine at a European-style wine village that will be open May 9-27. West Shore Park at the Inner Harbor has been transformed into an open-air, garden-style venue, with more than two dozen wines from countries, like Germany and Italy.”With wines not just popular to drink, but also being grown in Maryland and places all over the United States, and we wanted to bring this concept over from Europe,” Bauer said.With the initial purchase of a glass of wine, people get a signature glass. The Wine Village in Baltimore features a variety of food vendors, including Belgian fries with your choice of dips, including Old Bay.There will be also be more than 20 non-food vendors with gift ideas, as well as a full lineup of entertainment.
