After joining this sub and seeing all the hype about kettles I snagged my first one for $20 today. The inside is in decent shape and I cleaned it up nice but the outside of the bowl has some significant scrapes and gashes.
Any advice on how to restore it a bit? Not looking for perfection but a point in the right direction would be great.

Nah, let er eat.
Just leave it as is and use the grill. Maybe hit the bare metal with some oil during a cook so it doesn’t rust
I like it, gives character and doesn’t seem to affect its performance.
Sand a bit, hit with isoprpyl, then go to AutoZone and spend $17 on caliper spray paint (800° high heat paint) or live with it.
Just tell people you used it as a shield at war with possums
