I had these in an airport lounge. The red wine tastes very dilute, while the white one tastes very sweet.

Does anyone know anything about these wines? Asking because I couldn’t find any information of both of these wines online.

Thanks!

    >Are these fake wines?

Pretty sure they’re the only wines with this (or similar) label. “Fake” wines generally refers to counterfeit wines where one wine is pretending to be a different wine.

    >while the white one tastes very sweet.

I would certainly hope it does – the front label says “Sweet White Wine” after all.

Nothing specific. But I can tell you China produces quite a lot of wine and also bottles quite a lot of wine imported in bulk, sometimes blending it with locally produced wines, sometimes with wine from other countries. Without reading Chinese I can’t tell what claims they’re making about the wines. But looking at the text in Latin script they are not obviously misrepresenting anything — perhaps that the red is full-bodied. More importantly the labels (again, Latin script only) also look a bit like gibberish. But it’s not even a case of pretending to be Burgundy or Bordeaux or anything like that, they’re not obviously faking anything (of note).

(Unless if, by “fake”, you mean it’s not fermented grape juice and is instead made from something else. Unlikely, because that’s unlikely worth anyone’s time or money. There is a lot of veeeeery cheap grape wine on the bulk market.)

Think of them as random inexpensive wines and everything will make sense.

This is amazing. Now I want a burger 🍔 but I’m fairly certain eagle meat burgers are illegal in this country sadly.

Fake how? Looks like wine to me. Doesn’t apear to be trying to impersonate another wine.

*The wine was made of grapes in the world and with internal advanced technies. It’s clasity and has full-bodied fruit-smell vineosity and long aftertaste.*

As others have mentioned, certainly not fake, and not even attempting to be fake. These are just the temu products of wine world. Mass market stuff for low end local consumers.

There are some wines in china that are designed to be somewhat fake, but more so wines that use the trappings of famous wine, without being an actual counterfeit. Like something like a “Opus Rothschild” or the like.

Of course, there was a ton of really legitimate wines imported into china. It’s a big part of what drove up high end and blue chip wine prices for many years. And there’s also great wine being produced out of china now too, especially out of regions like ningxia.

Recently though, demand in china has fallen off a cliff, partly due to government intervention. The growing culture of wine has been throttled. Personally I find it really unfortunate, as it’s still a long ways away from general cultural consciousness. Most Chinese have no idea how to approach wine, have no sense of what it is, how it could fit into their f&b norms, have no taste for it. Doesn’t seem like there will be much movement in the foreseeable future either.
