Last year I started them March 18 and it was definitely too early, this year I started April 1 and under the new grow light they are growing even faster! I won’t be able to get them out until mid May. Hopefully it’ll work out!

Looking great, they gonna be monsters by mid may😳

  2. I’m growing in rockwool outside. However, like you, I started mine inside and starter cubes. I planted mine on April 1. And I had to transplant them into full 6 inch rockwool cubes today! It’s gonna require a lot more water until I get them outside 🙂

They’ll definitely be good and sturdy! I started mine on 3/18 last year too! This year I started a bunch on 3/10 and by 3/20 they out grew the cell tray and I started more after them so I could have a good variety and pick the best ones to go in and gift off the rest or keep for back ups incase some didn’t take to the garden bed well. Last year though, I didn’t get them out in the garden bed until Father’s Day lol. Everything had to be tilled up and we didn’t have the time to do it until then. They took off like rockets though.

I’m in the same boat. That does provide a wee bit of stress for sure lol. Hopefully we say we planted monsters and they thrived! Looking good.

They look fine. I love the idea with the foil!

They’re fine. I start mine indoors in January despite not being able to place them out until early April using the Solo cup method. I am giving some away that were backups in case of a late frost and they are 12-18″ tall and already starting to flower.

Mid Feb start here. I’ve now added picking buds off to my daily watering routine. I’ve got a month to go.

    It’s an illness, tomatoprestartium.

Those are fine. I like mine to get at least a foot tall so I can plant the long stem on its side and have a massive amount of roots.

I don’t know what temperatures it is where you live but those tomatoes are ready to be put in the ground already.
