Hello! I’ve been baking for fun for a few years and I’ve decided to use my baking as an elite dating strategy. (I know that cake is ugly, I can’t decorate a cake to save my life)

Well I’ve met a guy and he really has a sweet tooth and enjoys my baking.

I need more baking ideas to ensure I get married. What’s something I can make to blow him away?

  1. Berry cobbler. You can make it from scratch or buy sugar cookie dough and frozen berries and make it the easy way.

Carrot cake, tiramisu, cinnamon rolls, NY-style chunky cookies, cake with orange zest, strawberry cake with strawberry frosting, tres leches, (no-bake) cheesecakes, and definitely try Dubai chocolate crepes— they are so good! Oh and cookie pizza, basically a large circular cookie you slice like a pizza. And brookies.

And your cake is really cute btw!

Apple pie worked for me—27 years and counting. 😍

  4. Maybe various circular/ring shaped treats to subliminally influence your sweetheart? 🤣😅

    Lemon Raspberry Cheesecake Bars

    The cake is beautiful!

What is his favorite? Does he prefer chocolate or fruit flavors?

I’d track what he likes and get his honest feedback on favorites. Once you’re comfortable with different flavors, you could experiment. Find recipes and change things up, making it your own just for him.

    Best of luck!

Cheesecake all styles, any fruit pies all styles, cobblers any fruit, gooey butter cake, bread pudding, tres leches. Anything that creates volumes, lasts awhile, and is relatively easy to do.

I’m a straight woman but if it doesn’t work out with that guy LMK 😵‍💫

Bourbon chocolate chip pecan pie sealed the deal for me. He ate the whole thing in a few days.

Pies in those individual serving tins. They’re super cute and you can freeze some for later!

The simpler the better, biscotti, lemon bars, homemade pudding

All the guys I tried to lure in by baking for ate the goods and moved on. I married the one that was interested in baking with me.

Pavlova! The most delicious, chewiest fruity dessert I’ve ever made

  13. Bro, first off those bakes look delicious and he’s a lucky dude. Second, slow down bro.

Marriage is fantastic, trust me I get it, but relationships can be a lot like baking. You can have all the right ingredients, but if you skip steps and rush, it’s not going to turn out well.

That said, if you want to use baking as a way to get closer and learn more about your new bf, ask him about a favorite dessert from his childhood or something he associates with a really happy memory and try to make something that shows you listened and are trying to bring more joy into each other’s lives. Maybe you two could even bake something together.

Sourdough chocolate chip cookies from the King Arthur website. They are SO good. I make them in bulk and freeze them in individual balls so we can just pop them into the oven whenever we want. I’ve been told I need to sell them by numerous people and get requests all the time from friends, colleagues, and family to make them for events or holidays. 1000000000000% recommend as a hook, line, and sinker. Best if topped with margarita salt after slightly cooled (don’t judge me, it’s the best flaky salt option on a budget lmao)

Plot twist: the guy doesn’t have a sweet tooth, he’s just pretending to like the baked goods so he can date OP

When I met my current boyfriend I asked what his favorite cake was (funfetti) and made it from scratch along with the buttercream for his birthday. I did not know it was the first birthday cake he’d had since his mom passed but we’re 5 years strong and I still bake him one every year. To fill in the gaps I’ve kept him on a kitchen sink/chocolate chip cookies and brownie diet. Works pretty well, can’t leave me if he’s chubby (his words not mine).

Ah I see, fattening him up so he cant run away, a classic

I’ve been down this road before 😂 us acts of service people are cranking out the baked goods when we have a crush!

I think this is horrible. You shouldn’t bake for him. You should bake for me. I’d marry you on the spot.
