Smoked a rabbit. Nothing better in my opinion.

I cooked rabbit on for Easter as well but in a pot on the stove.

Glad to hear it worked out on the smoker.

Sounds great, need to try that. Grew up on rabbit. Haven’t had it in 30+ years. Does it hold up well to a heavy smoke or does it dry out too easily? Don’t recall it being very fatty.

I was always told it is too lean to be smoked- no real connective tissue or collagen to speak of.

And whenever I see rabbit, I am filled with thoughts of Arthur Bucco and those arugula seeds he smuggled in his shaving kit ALL THE WAY BACK FROM ITALY!

That’s one fine looking Wasskilly Wabbit.

Do you do the whole rabbit or just certain parts?

I see a lot of them in my backyard so I find this post, interesting.

  7. What’s your technique here? A sort of half smoke / half braise? Like others say it’s quite lean to smoke
