They had it last year, it wasn’t as good as the Kingsford Professional IMO. I don’t know if it was worth the $5 in savings. Sometimes they put the Kingsford on sale.

I know Costco sells Kingsford but those don’t look like Kingsford briquettes. They do look familiar, anyone know who is making these for Costco?

You can get 2 20# bags of kingsford at Sam’s for $20. That’s my go to.

This stuff worked great with the snake method in my Weber kettle last year. It’s different from Kingsford, but once I got it dialed in, I enjoyed cooking with it. Definitely going to grab some now that’s in season.

Got this last year, wasn’t very impressed. I’ll be disappointed if it replaces the Kingsford..

  6. squeeshka

Used them. Not as good as kingsford. They look and burn like royal oak briquettes.

Not a bad deal. Just too much ash clean up for me. I’ll stick with hardwood lump coals. Wish Costco would start bringing in the bags of lump coals already.

  8. I used it a couple times last year and I thought it lasted longer than regular Kingsford. I didn’t see and Kingsford Pro around once this Costco brand was released.

  9. All natural but is it 100% wood? Nothing like leftover limestone rock chunks after using “all natural”

  10. I tried it last year but remember the coals being kind small and chipped. Kingsford goes on sale there too.

  11. I’ve used this stuff previously. It does the job and I really can’t complain about it. Would probably go with Kingsford or something else if it was available.

    Sorry couldn’t resist lol.

I’m not a fan of briquettes. They were carrying a hardwood bag last year thst was pretty good.

I don’t buy these anymore. Can’t do the snake method because they’re “bloated” is the best way to describe them and don’t burn very hot. Kingsford at the store is way better

Got it and burned to fast, overnight brisket had me waking up every hour 🙁

  16. Gettitn_Squirrelly

It’s been around a while, lots of ash and burns out faster than kingsford.

    I’ve tried this stuff before.

Might just be me, but it seemed like this stuff put out smoke like crazy especially during the beginning – it was kind of weird because it looked to me like a blue smoke – more blue than ive ever seen, except there was a lot of it. I thought it was maybe a fluke from too much moisture or something so I tried another bag later on and it was the same thing.

It didnt really seem like it burned that much longer or hotter either.

    Overall I was not impressed.

I tried a couple bags last year, I didn’t like it as much. It seemed to burn hotter than kingsford, but didn’t last nearly as long.

B&B finally came back into stock at my local Academy Sports. That stuff burns so well so low and slow compared to Kingsford Idk if I’d ever change unless I know it’s special.

I buy at Sam’s for $19.99 for 40 pounds for kingsford blue.

  21. UsedPossible8323

It’s bad. Sparks up and too long too light up

  22. Imaginary-Pen8249

it’s garbage, produces a ton of smoke, leaves a terrible flavor on the food.

  23. grillntech

Good for grilling but I didn’t like them for low and slow

  24. Slunk_Trucks

Briquettes are dumb use lump instead and you’ll prosper

  25. MycologistFabulous13

I call this the charcoal from hell because I can fire up my Lang 84 and get it up to 250 with about 3 pounds of this coal in 60-degree weather. If it’s 80 degrees out, you literally need to feed the smoker a couple of handfuls of this charcoal. It has less ash than the Kingsford, but also burns way hotter, but they don’t burn as long as Kingsford. For the price, I like them!

  26. Death-Watch333

Get lump charcoal. Briquettes are almost never good.

  27. $14.99 is cheap enough to spend to find out if it’s any good.
