Probably just oxidised. Trust your senses- if it smells bad or is sticky etc then yes it is bad.

Just by looking? Not necessarily, it may just be simple oxidation. That’s what it looks like to me.

However, if you’ve not kept it cold or especially if there’s a terrible smell, I’d chuck it.

If you’ve kept it well refrigerated and it just smells like normal raw liver, it’s probably fine.

It could still be in the beef and it would be bad.

Have you talked to a doctor about why you have a beef liver in the first place? Most people have human ones (at least those I know).

Your nose would pick up decaying smells and whether you second guess or not, will tell you whether it’s edible. The second (2), second (2) guessing when you post here, means you already know the answer but want someone to validate. Sniffer test and check if it’s slimy to the touch

  6. Well, it looks dead so that’s probably bad…from the cow’s perspective at least.

Is there such a thing as good liver?

I think I’ll be perfectly fine if you eat that beef liver.

Can’t say that I will EVER know the answer to that question… enjoy!
