spring farmers market companion digital cover

As far as spring weekends go, there’s nothing quite like strolling through a friendly local farmers’ market. There’s just something about all of the beautifully displayed produce—those turquoise cartons! those humble checkered tablecloths!—and all of the bearded, clean-eating dads with their baby Bjorns that somehow leaves us feeling inspired to eat more asparagus.

We will, however, admit that on occasion we get carried away and stock up on so much produce that not all of it gets the love and attention it deserves. But not this year! In the name of getting more bang for our berries (and asparagus and peas and…), we enlisted our Food & Crafts Director Charlyne Mattox to compile her all-time favorite spring recipes from the Country Living archives into a tightly curated compendium of greatest hits exclusively for our Country Living All Access subscribers. So, grab your canvas tote and take (artichoke) heart that your purchase of on-the-pricey-side produce won’t be for naught. When there’s potential wilt, there’s a way.

(If you’re not already an All Access subscriber, you’ll likely need to sign up or upgrade your current subscription to access these favorite spring recipes (plus 1,000+ more). You’ll also unlock all of the other great content on CountryLiving.com like house tours and seasonal craft ideas.)
