4 circulating fans, tent door fully open, room door open and sometimes window is open, letting them dry out quite a lot. I’ve tried leaving these chillies just by a window with no fan and no new edema shows up, then as soon as I put them in my tent, it gets worse. Potting them up into 3 gallon pots today, hopefully that will help.

Can’t seem to prevent edema

That’s odd. I’ve had almost 200 plants in a similar-sized tent with only one fan. Do you live somewhere really humid?

  2. Usually i have some edema indoors. Usuallu cause is to much watering. But not vanishing completely When putting outdoor no edema and no edema when they get to wet by heavy rain period. So that would mean, the main cause is not only overwatering or humidity.
Have read some articles where people have tested an extra UV light at peppers and tomatos, and by doing that it decreased edema significantly.

I found it’s pretty much impossible to prevent edema indoors. I have very low humidity, I have a fan, I don’t overwater – but every year, my young plants get some level of edema.

The good news is: you don’t need to care about it. The plants will continue to grow, and as soon as they move outdoors, it will fix itself automatically.

How is your water? Check the TDS. I rarely get edema after switching to RO water. I have hard water.

Maybe straw on the soil? To help keep moisture down below the leaves?

Edema is normal indoors, don’t worry about it, my biggest concern indoors are disease and pests

I try to keep the soil close to dry, watering only once a week if that. But I mist or foliar feed once or twice a day. It really seems to help out.
