At Kura (US location) and saw this piece of uni that had 3x more than the other pieces on the belt. The uni was stacked so high the structural integrity was questionable. I have a feeling either someone made a mistake or they thought it was funny. Regardless, you know I didn’t let it pass by.

I tried uni for the first time at a Kura a few months ago and it was terrible, the most bitter and shit taste I’ve ever had from sushi
I’ve read about a purple variety that is allegedly invasive. I have never tried it though, as far as I know.
