I have had some sparks from charcoal, lump and briquettes, but nothing even close to this.

What brand are you using? I found that royal oak did this to me, I don’t know if it’s just a thing with oak charcoal or what, but I much prefer using the Jealous Devil stuff. Burns clean, wayyy less sparks too.

That’s wild. I’ve never had that happen to me.

I use B&B lump never seen anything like that.
